Who am I?

Hello dear reader, my name is Dr. James Hammond and I am the owner and designer of Aeroic Composite Aviation Products; a company that as its name suggests is involved in the design and manufacture of composite aerospace products; principally high-performance composite aircraft. I have been in the business of designing what could be called large model aircraft; drones as you guessed, for over forty years, and designing, making and flying model aircraft since the age of about seven. I made my first home designed, home moulded glider in 1972 -just for reference.

Aeroic composites evolving:

Aeroic Composites as an entity has been in business for about 20 years with me offering services as an outside designer of airframes, mostly sailplanes for other companies such as RCRCM in China where models I designed are still the best sellers in the company product list, and one in particular, the Typhoon 2M enjoys the distinction of being the biggest selling moulded 2 M model sailplane of all time, with over 2500 models sold. Recently in the last 10 years, I have begun to produce my own line of airframes under the name brand Aeroic.

Design and construction:

My models are entirely designed by me, and produced in China. Well heck, there’s stigma straight away! But I am really very happy to tell you that we are just a little different from the standards of production and materials normally seen coming out of the PRC. I have made it my business to control and improve quality and standards of fit and finish by steadily introducing new and improved composite construction processes, new methods and new materials all bound to rigid QC checks and audits throughout every process from incoming materials to finished products. The end result I am happy to say is a line of models that have a very high-performance level, a very high-quality standard of fit and finish, and yet can still be purchased at economical prices.
